Going partying in their clubs
The Ibiza party is one of its biggest attractions worldwide. If you want to make your trip something memorable, do not miss the Ibiza night in the following clubs: Amnesia, crowned for three consecutive years as the best club in the world, with the Best Global Club award; Bora Bora, day club in the middle of Playa d’en Bossa; o Pacha, mythical place to spend a night out on the island .; Privilege, distinguished by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest in the world and popular parties such as Supermartxé.
And there are many more such as El Divino, Es Paradis famous for its water festivals and for being one of the first clubs on the island; SWAG; Ocean Beach and … why not! Ushuaïa Beach Hotel; with parties in its large pool to the rhythm of the best DJ’s in the world.
Rent a motorbike or car to move around its coves
Traveling by motorcycle through Ibiza is very practical. Thus, we can discover Cala Gracioneta in San Antonio located on the west coast of Ibiza; or Cala de Agua Blanca in Santa Eulalia del Río, a fairly large nudist beach. We can also get to Cala Tarida, which is near Sant Josep de Sa Talaia and is conceived as one of the many secret coves that the island offers; and many others such as Cala Mastella, which takes place between Punta d’en Ribes and Caló Roig.
Visit its old town (Dalt Vila)
As we explained in another post, the Dalt Vila, elected a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, is the historic center of the most traditional Ibiza, formed by a labyrinth of streets full of art galleries, palatial homes and artisans that merges with the typically Ibizan whitewashed houses. We must not forget to explore the entire walled perimeter from on high.
Buy in hippie markets
If you are a lover of hippy culture, you can not miss the particular street markets of the island. The most important are the Punta Arabí flea market held on Wednesdays in Es Caná and the Las Dalias market that takes place on Saturdays in San Carlos.
Take a trip to Formentera
Formentera is an obligatory destination if you come on holiday to the Balearic archipelago. The most charming places you can not miss are: Ses Illetes Beach, the most famous beach on the island, located at the tip of Es Trucadors, it offers a wonderful landscape of white sand with a very peculiar pinkish hue, and a water turquoise and crystalline; Windmills of Formentera; the municipality Sant Francesc Xavier; Caló des Morts, only 10 km from the town; the sunset of the cliffs of Cap de Barbaria; Las Salinas and of course, Espalmador Island.
Taste these typical dishes
As we can see, the Pitiusan islands are not only recognized for their beaches, but their cuisine is at the level of the most exquisite palates. In Ibiza we will be able to taste guisat de peix, arroz de matanzas, bullit de peix, peix en salmorra or borrida de ratjada, among others, for the most salty palates; or the flaó, the greixonera or orelletes for the sweet tooth.
See a sunset at Café del Mar or Benirràs
If you are a lover of sunsets, Café del Mar is your destination. It is a bar opened in 1980 that offers chill out music at sunset, serves international dishes and offers wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea. If you’ve been wanting more you can not forget about Benirrás. It is located to the north of the island and shows us a spectacular setting with hippie drums parties on Sundays, which will make your trip an unforgettable memory.
