Ibiza offers much more than its exclusive nightlife. The natural landscapes offered by the island make it possible to practice numerous outdoor activities. They’re all highly recommended. If you want to enjoy a different type of vacation with your friends, the whole family or even by yourself, we suggest in this post 5 outdoor sports that will make you enjoy the island even more.

Cycling

Cycling in Ibiza is the perfect choice if you want to discover certain corners that can’t be accessed by car, and also practice sport. If you wish to introduce yourself into the pedaling world, it’s in your power being able to cover the more than 700 km of cycling routes that Ibiza has. The itineraries run across motorways, roads with almost no traffic and are designed in a circular manner to facilitate the cyclist’s return to his starting point. They are all signaled and marked with colours, depending on their degree of difficulty. You’ll have to take into account your experience and physical condition when deciding which degree of difficulty your chosen route should have.

Trekking

If you decide to go hiking, you’ll discover Ibiza’s other side. The island’s most spectacular views are within your foot’s reach. Here, we suggest a selection of routes: Moscarter’s lighthouse to train your vertigo or the route from San Antonio to Cala Salada, starting your trek at the port’s end and carrying on along the promenade that borders the coast. This way you’ll be able to enjoy the views from San Antonio de Portmany bay. Following the path we’ll bump into the road that reaches beaches such as Cala Gracioneta; and many other itineraries such as Mateo-Torres d’en Lluc route; Sa Talaia route and an endless etcetera.

Diving

The ibizan island’s crystal clear waters make it the perfect place for snorkeling. Ibiza is the ideal destination for experiencing the wonders offered by the underwater world. This diversity spans across more than 200 kilometers of coast: you’ll find underwater caves, sunken boats, rocky plataforms with an impressive marine life. The island counts with numerous diving centres that have offer dives across all levels of expertise: from initiation up to the most experienced of divers. Would you like to be a teacher? There are also training courses for those who wish to become diving instructors.

Cliff jumping

Jumping off the edge of a cliff in Ibiza can be a completely safe activity if you choose a promotional pack that can offer guaranteed supervision. The island has numerous companies that count on professional teams in charge of showing you the most spectacular cliffs without neglecting your safety. You have the chance to discover Ibiza’s most wild side, faraway from the masses. You can gradually increase the height of each cliff depending on how well prepared you feel. You must use appropriate footwear. The company whose services you’ve hired will previously check the area and give you any relevant information. Do you dare to jump?

Flyboard

Enjoy an unforgettable experience flying over the sea! Flyboard consists of a combination between jet skiing, snowboarding and acrobatic stunts… An explosive mixture of adrenaline! Don’t worry if it’s your first time, you’ll always count on an instructor.
