Ibiza’s finest wines and wineries

Exquisite, unique and of the highest quality. These are the wines of Ibiza: a spectacular island which, in addition to its beautiful and unforgettable festivals, also stands out for its gastronomy and exceptional wine production.

Here are three wineries in Ibiza that will lead you to discover one of the most charming areas of the island and, of course, to taste its delicious wines. There is no time to waste when it comes to wine tasting, so let’s get started!

Sa Cova winery

Sa Cova is the oldest winery in Ibiza, located in Sant Mateu d’Albarca, in a beautiful area surrounded by vineyards and fruit trees, and with a great winemaking tradition.

During the guided tour of the winery, you’ll learn everything there is to know about the production of rosé, red and white wines, as well as tasting the most emblematic wines, accompanied by a selection of local products.

The winery was founded in 1990 by Joan Bonet, a professional in the hotel and catering industry, who, year after year, puts all his effort and dedication into producing quality wines. He began making wines with the Monastrell variety before expanding his work to other grape varieties in recent times. Its oldest vintage is from 2004 and is known as Sa Cova Privat 2004.

A visit to Sa Cova is a good opportunity to get to know Ibiza’s winemaking tradition while enjoying an extraordinary landscape.

In Sant Mateu, you’ll also find Can Maymó, a winery with a family tradition which is dedicated to the production of quality wines and is recognised as one of the most prestigious in Ibiza.

Ibizkus Wines

You’ll find this winery on the road from Ibiza Town to Santa Eulària, formerly known as Totem Wines. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular wineries on the island. You’ll certainly have no trouble finding its wines in some of the most popular places on the island.

Ibizkus Wines is a large bodega, dedicated to the production of quality red and rosé wines made from local varieties, such as Malvasia and Monastrell.

Here you’ll have the opportunity to visit their facilities, taste their wines in a spectacular tasting room and also buy other local products. We recommend their Ibizkus Rosé, one of their main wines, which will simply just win you over.

Can Rich Wine Cellar

Let yourself be amazed by this winery, considered the largest on the island. It’s located in Buscastell and stands out for its high-quality wine production.

Different varieties of grapes are grown on its land and its production processes stand out for being totally ecological, in which neither pesticides or herbicides, nor any other chemical product that could alter the local ecosystem, are used. Today, this winery stands out for being the only one in Ibiza dedicated to the production of organic wines.

In addition to wines, they also produce olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Ibizan herb liqueur, among other delicious products. Don’t miss out on the chance to visit their facilities and taste their best wines, oils and herbal liqueurs! They also have a shop where you can buy all the products they make.

Enjoy some of the most authentic wineries in Ibiza!
