Our blog, your guide
Mild temperatures and ideal sea conditions turn the islands of Ibiza and Formentera into two true paradises for water sports.
Get ready to have tons of fun, whether you're diving, snorkelling, kite surfing, paddle surfing, windsurfing, or jet skiing… The options are endless!
A great option for enjoying the clear, calm waters of Ibiza and Formentera is to paddle around them on a paddleboard or kayak. Without a doubt, these fashionable water sports will allow you to discover the islands’ most beautiful corners in an original and fun way.
In Ibiza, you can't miss out on the route from Cala Bassa to the peak of Sa Pedrera, from Cala Xarraca to
Es Canaret, or skirting the beaches of Cala Gració, Cala Gracioneta and Cala Tarida.
In Formentera, we recommend you visit the bay of Es Pujols, Punta Prima or the cave of Cala en Baster, among others.
Have you heard of flyboarding? This water sport is perfect for thrill-seekers. It's fun and will undoubtedly help you get your adrenaline pumping as you are propelled by two jets of water up to ten metres high. You will feel like you are literally flying over the water!
Moreover, there are other adrenaline driven water sports, such as parasailing, jetboarding and seabobbing, that you can't miss out on.
You'll find several schools in both Ibiza and Formentera where you can get started.
Two of Ibiza and Formentera’s essential water sports are scuba diving and snorkelling. Thanks to the sublime clarity, quality and transparency of their waters, you can practise them almost anywhere.
They are a good way to discover the islands’ impressive seabed, get to know their great variety of fauna, and even explore the occasional abandoned boat.
If you don't have much diving experience, it's important to make sure that the place you're going to is the right one for you or, even better, that you hire the services of a specialised instructor to accompany you during your dive.
A relaxed and entertaining option for the little ones is to go around Ibiza and Formentera on a boat, either with or without a licence.
You can rent a boat and enjoy a relaxing family day out, exploring the best coves at your leisure,
accessing places that can only be reached by sea, or going for a swim in the most spectacular spots.
Moreover, if you prefer, you can also rent a boat with a skipper. This will allow you to get to know the islands’ best and most secluded corners. In any case, you will undoubtedly enjoy an unforgettable experience.
